1 month old baby finch keeping his head turned.

Hi my 1 month old baby zebra finch keeps his head turned back. And when I try to talk to him then he looks at me then turns his head back. I don't understand what the problem is. His Parents have stopped feeding him too, so I started feeding him.

I also have attached the picture of the baby, while he had his head turned , and then looking at me after I called his name.

Can you tell me what the problem is with the baby?

Thank you..

Tooba

Hi Tooba,

I don't know what is wrong with your Zebra finch. He looks as though he is sleeping to me. I hope some other site visitors will send comments tobe more helpful to you.

Best Wishes, Jeanie

Goudian

My baby goudian did the same thing! His parent stop feeding him, and he is not ready to eat on his own yet. Wonder how often I should feed him.

I don't know for certain. I hope another hobbyist will see your question and add some comments. I would guess you check on him about every 2 hours. If he's well and hungry, he'll be chirping. He looks as though he is cold. I think I would put a lamp near his cage and see what he does. If he is cold, he'll go sit near the warm light bulb. Jeanie
