adult Gouldian changing breast colors during a molt

I have a mature hen who is orange head, purple breast and yellow back. She is molting now and her breast is white....some of her wing feather coverlets are white also. I have a photo for you to see. Is the temporary?

Hi Annie,

You have the most unusual birds of all of my readers so far! I hope you read the answer I just posted for another reader. Her question made me think of you.

I have to say I really don't know if it is temporary or not. I guess time will tell. I have seen Gouldians that have shade changes in their breast and head feather colors, but never purple to white breast. Exciting!

Thanks for sending the photos too.
Best Wishes, Jeanie
