When the breeding season finishes should i separate males from females or should i just take out the nesting boxes.

Hi Laurie,

I would just take down the nest boxes. Unless the birds seem to be aggressive towards one another, I let my pairs stay together. I think they really like each other. Best Wishes, Jeanie

To split pairs or not
by: Anonymous

I always split them up. There is then no fighting amongst them and it gives them a rest period. I also like to have males and females as far apart as possible. This gives one also the opportunity to think about what one has achieved with youngsters and if need be, make new pairs for the new season.

Thank you for you input. Jeanie
