how many hours of light for gouldians
I read that gouldian finches should have daylight or artificial light, but how many hours of light for gouldians need every day to stay healthy?
Are the commercial lights I see advertised a good solution to compensate for sunlight?
They do need to be exposed to daylight and as long as the light is labeled a full spectrum light,it will work. You may need more than one light depending on the size of your cage. For day to day living, 10 to 12 hrs. The same as a human's daylight hours. For breeding, they will need between 14 and 15 hrs. of sunlight.
Best of luck!
