Not yet fully fledged

I have 2 breeding pairs of Lady Gouldians in separate cages, each clutch hatching a few days apart. Today the first clutch fledged and are moving around. The second set of babies are currently on the floor of the cage and not yet fully fledged. Should I attempt to put them back in the nest?

Hi Dakota,

I am assumming that the chicks on the cage floor are visibly physically behind the other pairs' chicks in their development of their feathers. Yeah,I would try putting them back into the nest. If they come out again, I would give them additional heat and watch to see if the parents will fly down and still feed them. To increase the heat for the ousted chicks, clothspin a heating pad to part of the cage near the chicks.

Best wishes for success, Jeanie
