I want to buy a big cage and keep several kinds of finch pairs, and I want to put in a Gouldian Finch pair, I want to leave the cage in the balkone for all the year and in the winter I want to cover all the cage with nylon and wrap, is this applicable and do they live in this environment??
Your email doesn't tell me where you are in the world. Of all the finch species that I know, Gouldians require the most heat. They do their best if kept in temperatures in the mid 70's degrees. If you can duplicate their native Queensland, Australia, weather conditions they should be fine.
Good luck, Jeanie
